This starts at the beginning. If required, our experienced team helps clients conceive their event, liaising with them to identify and cater for their requirements, as well as providing honest strategic advice on what will and will not work.
We draft detailed proposals, which include event timelines, legal obligations (e.g. health and safety), staffing requirements, supplier and contractor information, and budgetary requirements.
We research appropriate venues, suppliers and contractors, before using our event management experience and expertise to negotiate the best possible prices. We liaise and communicate constantly with all those chosen in the run up to an event and on the day, overcoming any issues to ensure success.
This includes organising and managing guest speakers and speaker schedules, delegate packs, press areas, guest lists and ticketing, car parking facilities, security, first aid and hospitality. We can draft copy for event programmes and film / edit first-class video content to use in the production. The list is endless!
Attracting, securing and retaining sponsors is important for some events as this increases the level of income and profitability generated. It can also raise the profile of events by associating them with big brands. The Midnight team is well versed in the art of selling events to potential sponsors (we do it for our own events) and this is something many of our clients capitalise on.
Midnight is first and foremost a PR and marketing agency, so we specialise in promoting events to their target audiences via multiple channels. This could mean drafting and issuing press releases or feature articles, creating and managing social media or email marketing campaigns, drafting website copy or filming and editing video content. On the day of an event Midnight’s team is out in full force to ensure events are smooth-running and successful. This means coordinating suppliers and contractors, handling client queries and troubleshooting where necessary, managing event logistics, briefing staff and ensuring that processes relating to insurance, legal, health and safety obligations are followed. We make sure everybody is in the right place at the right time and comprehensively support our clients from beginning of an event to the end.
Midnight oversees the dismantling and removal of equipment and clears venues carefully and efficiently. We follow up with attendees and the media to find out what people thought of an event and draft post-event evaluations for our clients.

Events Case Studies
Midnight was appointed by leading law firm asb law to handle a PR & event management campaign over a three-month period.
Around two hundred of the UK’s top consultants, neurologists and clinicians attended a sell-out event at the American Express Community Stadium to discuss the trauma of brain injury.
Staged for the second time, ‘Brain Injury – the Long Road to Recovery’, was devised and organised jointly by asb aspire, Hurstwood Park Neurological Centre, and the management team at Headway Hurstwood Park.
Midnight is an active member of the Mayor’s charities committee and raised funds by organising an evening with international best-selling crime fiction writer, Peter James.
Peter shared anecdotes about his life as one of Brighton’s most famous sons over dinner at The Grand on 12th February.
The evening with Peter James was hosted by the Mayor and Mayoress of Brighton, and raised around £8k for local charities.
Midnight was approached by Las Iguanas when they planned to open a new branch at the Brighton Marina. The restaurant chain had a set budget which Midnight was tasked with maximizing, combining a PR launch with a spreads of advertising and radio across local titles.
The launch event would be a sit down dinner offering the opportunity to try a range of delights from the menu and with cocktails to accompany. The evening was a great success with representatives from 16 Sussex titles attending.
Hotel du Vin Brighton
Midnight was appointed by Hotel du Vin, an award-winning luxury hotel, to manage an event for the unveiling of its renovated bistro.
Located in the heart of the Brighton’s lanes, the hotel welcomed over 200 guests who were amongst the first to view the dining bistro whilst enjoying endless champagne and sampling the sumptuous cuisine.
