Sky Sports Living for Sport Student of the Year Awards named Best Awards Scheme
Sky Sports Living for Sport’s Student of the Year Awards 2010 has been named the Best Awards Scheme at the UK Event Awards 2011.
The second annual UK Event Awards took place at Wembley Stadium last night and were attended by over 300 event professionals from across the UK. The awards were judged by an independent panel of industry professionals which this year was chaired by Paul O’Neill of Guinness World Records Live and included Jackie Boughton of Wembley Stadium, Jan Booth of Sunbaba and Kate Conway of Tesco.
Organised by Brighton based Midnight Communications on behalf of Sky Sports and the Youth Sport Trust, ‘Using Sport to Inspire Young People – the Sky Sports Living for Sport Student of the Year Awards 2010’ beat off competition from The Sun Military Awards 2010, the Nursing Standard Nurse Awards 2011 and the RoSPA Occupational Health & Safety Awards, to scoop the coveted Best Awards Scheme trophy.
Earlier this month, the same initiative received Gold at the 2011 CIPR Pride Awards in the Not-for-Profit category.
