Last week, we were proud to launch Sea Life Brighton’s newest installation, Claws, to approximately 200 guests from the media and Brighton’s business community.
The attraction, which is now open to the public, shines a light on the sea’s most fascinating shell-dwellers. From captivating crabs and tropical crayfish to creatures found much closer to home along the UK’s coastline, Claws has plenty to enthral and excite, as our guests discovered.
The undisputed stars of the show are two statuesque Japanese Spider Crabs – the largest of which has a leg span of 1.3 metres. These stunning creatures mesmerised guests of all ages during the launch event and look set to become firm visitor favourites!
With the displays team from Sea Life Brighton on hand to offer snippets of information about their newest additions, the Claws launch proved to be as educational as it was entertaining – ideal for all of the youngsters in attendance.
With delicious canapés (the crab shaped iced biscuits were our favourites!), face painting, a chance to explore the world’s oldest operating aquarium and even the opportunity to sport ‘crabby hands’, the event had something for everyone.
Claws well and truly launched at Sea Life Brighton with a splash!
