The role
We’re looking for a curious, energetic, and highly proactive Digital PR Assistant to join our Digital PR team. You’ll support the planning and delivery of campaigns that earn media attention and drive SEO value. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone excited about launching a career in communications and growing quickly in a supportive team.
You’ll be trained and mentored to develop into an Account Executive within your first 6-12 months, with a clear career path and regular development reviews.
What you’ll be doing
- Pitching stories to journalists via email and phone to secure media coverage
- Researching trends, journalists and media opportunities
- Contributing creative content ideas and campaign angles
- Supporting SEO-driven PR
- Writing press releases, articles and journalist outreach emails
- Creating simple visuals and media assets using Canva
- Compiling campaign reports and tracking PR coverage
- Learning to use media monitoring, PR and SEO tools
What we’re looking for
- A degree, or equivalent experience
- Some evidence of interest or experience in PR, communications, journalism or a related field
- A strong interest in media, current affairs and digital storytelling
- Creative and energetic, with a willingness to take initiative
- Organised and able to manage multiple tasks independently
- A genuine team player who thrives in a collaborative environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confident using Microsoft Office and Canva; interest in SEO and WordPress is a plus
